What is Email Deliverability?

Email deliverability is the measure of whether your emails actually land in recipients' inboxes rather than being filtered to spam or blocked outright. It's the silent foundation of any email program: perfect copy and targeting are worthless if the message never gets seen, and deliverability is often the real reason a campaign underperforms.

Deliverability is driven by technical setup (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication), the reputation of your sending domain and IP, and how recipients react — opens and replies help, while spam complaints and bounces hurt. Best practices include warming new domains gradually, keeping per-inbox volume modest, cleaning your list to avoid bad addresses, and maintaining a healthy reply rate.

Because reputation is fragile and slow to rebuild, protecting deliverability is a continuous discipline, not a one-time configuration.

  • •Set up SPF, DKIM, and DMARC authentication
  • •Warm new domains and keep per-inbox volume modest
  • •Clean lists and watch bounces and spam complaints
